What is Terompah

Feeling bored with the usual types of slippers? Wanting to try something new but historical? That is Terompah! Terompah is one types of shoes that were carved and made from woods. Terompah can be found in varieties of color. It can be wear by both males and females. Of course, for each gender there are different unique and appealing design that were used. It's history

This type of shoes although quite rare nowadays, it is common in the 70s by the people. For its traits that is anti-slippery,  it become popular and quite multifunctional. They can also be a type of heavy boot or shoe with sides and typically thick wooden soles, and may have steel reinforcing the undersides of the soles.Dutch colonial is believed to be the one responsible bringing this unique shoes to Melaka. Terompah existence is the sign for the start of many forms of new type of footwear.
